The Work Has Begun

The Trade Council Board thanks all the attendees and participants. We are seeing overwhelming support and will continue to seek feedback and assistance. We already have follow-up meetings and discussions scheduled with key stakeholders in the executive and legislative branches of government. Collaboration, sacrifice, and transparency will be essential for balancing short-term needs and long-term prosperity. The key to success lies in applying sustainable and scalable incentives.

We are reviewing the Q&A session to identify additional areas of market research that will help the CNMI understand the next steps to making the CNMI a business-friendly experience. The incentives are available in the Covenant and more specifically in the Northern Mariana’s Free Trade Zone Act of 2000. Now, it will require a united effort to remove any friction businesses may experience while establishing themselves here.
